Tulip Time Festival
May 6-14 2023
I almost feel like West Michigan wouldn’t be West Michigan without Tulip Time. It is a celebration of two things: Dutch heritage and tulips! Tulip Time is a week long event held in the cute town of Holland, Michigan and has a variety of events geared toward family and children as well as adults!
In the spring at Frederik Meijer Gardens you’ll find the ever-popular “Butterflies are Blooming” exhibit and the cherry blossoms at the Japanese Gardens. Meijer Gardens is definitely a Grand Rapids staple piece and favorite.
In Comstock Park you’ll find Grand Rapids’ very own baseball team, the Whitecaps. The West Michigan Whitecaps makes going to a baseball game as fun as it can be with all the extra events, themed days, and mascots! This is the perfect thing to do with your family on a nice spring day.
Blandford Nature Center is the perfect place to walk through the trails and see all the new blooms of the spring. Admire the beauty of GR in the spring at Blandford Nature Center!
Stage GR is a non-profit performing arts theatre that puts on shows and musicals throughout the year! The spring is a great time to go see a show and Stage GR is definitely our recommendation.
