#1 Start your morning with coffee from Mundos Roasting & Co
Mundos Roasting and Co is a local Traverse City coffee shop we LOVE and is the perfect place to fuel up for your day after the drive up to the city. They also have a small breakfast/brunch menu if you need some food!
#2 Get some shopping in at the local spots Downtown Traverse City
#3 Stop for donuts at Peace, Love and Little Donuts
The cutest and yummiest little donuts! Located at 441 E Front St #1, Traverse City, MI 49686
#4 You can’t visit Traverse City without some wine tasting
Traverse City and Northern Michigan is known for the many vineyards it’s home to. One vineyard we’ve visited up there is Hawthorn Vineyards and it is absolutely beautiful and the perfect place for some wine tasting.
#5 Make the drive over to the lakeshore to do some tubing down the Platte River with your besties!
Riverside Canoes is a great place to rent tubes, kayaks, or canoes to float down the gorgeous Platte River. The river is beautifully clear water and spits out on the Lake Michigan lakeshore where you can enjoy some time on the beach once you drop off your tubes.
#6 Finish your night by getting dinner in Glen Arbor
Glen Arbor is another cute Northern Michigan lakeshore town that’s worth visiting! Here’s a short list of restaurants in Glen Arbor to get some good food at:
Cherry Public House
Good Harbor House
Northern Michigan is full of breathtaking views of the lakeshore, towering dunes, beautiful vineyards, and a place to make memories. Let us know if you spend the day in Traverse City and tag us in your posts @thelocal.westmichigan
