Women Owned Businesses
In honor of Women’s History Month, we wanted to take the opportunity to highlight some of the fantastic Women-Owned businesses in the Grand Rapids area! There are endless amounts of small local businesses in the city that are women-owned and we are SO proud to call Grand Rapids home, which is why we love helping people find their dream home in this dreamy city! It was close to impossible, but we narrowed the list down to 20 businesses, but there are far more than 20 scattered throughout the city and surrounding communities!
We are sure that you will quickly add these businesses to your list of favorites after visiting, we love them and so will you.
Before we get to the list of these amazing businesses, we did not want to neglect telling you about the Rad Women A-Z Walking Tour Downtown Grand Rapids. This tour can be found on the GR Walks app and would be a wonderful way to celebrate Women’s History Month!
Rising Grinds
We love a black-owned, women-owned business, which is exactly what Rising Grinds is!! Rising Grinds Cafe is a stunning space full of sunlight peeking through the windows and a community feel with a mission to bring people together over good coffee and food. They have a lengthy drink menu along with both a breakfast and lunch menu!

Stoffer Home
Stoffer Home is a Wealthy St woman-owned business owned by Jean Stoffer. They recently joined the Magnolia Network and Jean Stoffer’s show, “The Established Home”, features the projects she’s been working on around West Michigan and she shares the inspiration behind the designs. Stoffer Home is such a fun place to find home decor and kitchen accessories.

Art of the Table
Art of the Table is owned by Amy Ruis and is a gourmet grocery store on Wealthy St. Amy and her team have a commitment to sustainable, local work and they follow through with that commitment well! And how cool is it that this is the second store to ever open on Wealthy St!
We also want to make a special shout out to Aperitivo in the Downtown Market, which is another fabulous business owned by Amy Ruis and her team!

Marge's Donut Den
Marge’s Donut Den is definitely the face of donuts in Grand Rapids and has been a favorite in the community for years. Stop in for a donut that is sure to treat your sweet tooth and say hi to the owner Marge while you’re at it!

We are big fans of Cafe De Miro, a Kurdish-style Mediterranean restaurant and cafe! It is owned by husband and wife duo Apo Alagoz and Fatosh Alagoz and the interior is stunning with intricate tiled floor and wall decor that adds to the aesthetic!

Adored Boutique is located in the East Hills neighborhood on the ever famous Cherry St! It is owned by Emily Smith and the shop is so cute and has a great mission! They give 15% of their profits to organizations with touching missions, sell products from companies that empower and support survivors of human trafficking, and they aim to help women grow their ethical wardrobe!

Sable Candle Co
Supporting local businesses and local makers is one of our favorite things, and this fab woman-owned candle shop will surely capture your interest! Sable Candle Co owned by Courtney Jones is an adorable candle shop in Eastown! They even have an open studio where you can make your own candle in the shop and they sell a wide variety of candles with all the scents you could imagine!

Chartreuse Sisters
